As a Roadway Design Engineer, you will be involved in projects with our Transportation Team and be part of a growing company laser-focused on meeting our client's needs while also solving their problems. The ideal candidate is extremely detail-oriented.Key Responsibilities

• Design and analysis of freeways, interstate highways, interchanges, urban and rural roadways, and shared-use trails
• Prepare studies, reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates for a wide variety of transportation projects
• Support project managers with client relations, stakeholder management, and sub consultant coordination
• Coordinate and work with a team of project managers, design engineers, technicians, and support staff to successfully complete a variety of projects
• Involvement in Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build delivery projects
• Take ownership of projects from start to finishSkills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university
  • Professional Civil Engineering certification (P.E.)
  • 10+ Years of Professional Experience Required
  • Knowledge and experience with Microstation, OpenRoads, InRoads and/or Geopak, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and other applicable software common to the field of transportation engineering
  • Experience with DOT's plan preparation procedures and standards
  • Experience with Federal Lands Highway plan preparation procedures and standards is a plus
  • Experience with hydraulics, utilities, structures, and traffic experience is a plus
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Willingness to work on projects locally or in workshare with other offices
  • Possess a proven history of meeting project deadlines and budgets
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with strong organizational skills
