Desert View Hospital is a 25-bed, acute care hospital set in a rural community. Desert View provides safe and competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. The Physician Assistant (PA) will provide high-quality medical care under the supervision of a licensed physician. This role involves conducting patient assessments, diagnosing illnesses, developing treatment plans, prescribing medications, and assisting in medical procedures. The PA will work in coordination with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including history-taking and physical examinations.
Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions.
Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
Order, interpret, and analyze diagnostic tests such as lab work and imaging.
Prescribe medications and provide patient education on treatment options.
Assist in minor surgical procedures and emergency interventions as needed.
Provide preventive care counseling and health education to patients.
Document patient encounters and treatment plans accurately in medical records.
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
