opportunity is full time at 40 hours per week, offers full benefits
and a convenient afternoon/evening schedule. -We are searching for
a Sterile Proessing Tech. - You will be responsible for
decontamination, cleaning, processing and sterilization of
Instrumentation, supplies and equipment dispensed by the department
following established infection control practices. - Initiates case
carts for Surgical Services. - Must be conscientious with regard to
procedures and capable of working under pressure and interacting
professionally with other departments within the hospital. - able
to accept new ideas and learn position duties. - Participates in
the department's performance improvement activities. -Job
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Interacts professionally with patients and family.
- Provides patient with explanations and verbal reassurance, as
necessary.
- Notifies appropriate licensed personnel when patient complains
of pain.
- Adapts procedures to meet individual needs of infant,
pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients for
treatment.
- Prepares room in a timely manner with all anticipated
instruments, sutures, supplies and equipment for each individual
surgical / pain procedure, or all anticipated endoscopes,
instruments, supplies and equipment of each individual GI Lab
procedure.
- Accurately completes operating room counts (instruments,
sponges, sharps); follows proper procedure in the event of
incorrect count; reports all discrepancies to Circulating RN and
surgeon and/or corrects immediately -About Universal Health

Qualifications
Requirements:
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience as Central Service
Technician.
- Obtains national certification within 18 months of hire into
