Job Description:
1099 Contract Ophthalmologist or Optometrist We are seeking to
contract an Ophthalmologist in Reno, NV. to help ensure our service
members get the best care possible. You will play a vital role in
the continued care of these men and women, all while growing your
current practice. Your Role at Jamshid Tamiry, M.D., P.C., dba QTC
Medical Group of Alaska: As a contracted Ophthalmologist or
Optometrist with Jamshid Tamiry, M.D., P.C., doing business as QTC
Medical Group of Alaska, an affiliate of Leidos QTC Health Service,
you will be responsible for performing a range of duties
including:
- Performing examinations
- Interpreting clinical data
- Completing written reports and generating independent medical
opinions (IMO) The examinations must be conducted utilizing the
Kinetic Perimetry VFT Equipment Compatibility Chart. Primary
Responsibilities:
- Conduct exams for a variety of customers to include federal,
defense and others.
- Complete independent medical opinions regarding eye
conditions.
- Perimetry requirements: Results must chart 16 meridians, 22.5
degrees apart for each eye and indicate the Goldman equivalent
used.
- Diagnostic testing Required Qualifications:
- Education:
- Ophthalmologist (M.D.) or Optometrist (O.D.) from an accredited
university or college
- Completed Education and training in an US accredited college or
university
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of post-graduate experience as an
Ophthalmologist or Optometrist
- Certification: Unrestricted State medical licensure without
limitations to perform full scope of authorized practice
- Clearance:
- Ability to pass a medical clearance
- Must be able to obtain and maintain government clearances
(LARS, Public Trust, NACI, BGI, etc.) as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience conducting occupational/disability medical
examinations Work Schedule and Compensation:
- Flexible Schedule: Appointments are typically scheduled
approximately 5 to 7 days of notification. You set the pace and
frequency!
- Location: Reno, NV.
- Compensation: Compensation will be provided for each
examination, with payment determined based on the specific
requirements and type of examination performed. Additional
Information:
- Provider must complete required online training courses, up to
9 courses at approx. 12.5 hours total.
- Leidos QTC Health Services will run a 7-year criminal history
and sex offender background check.
- Once the BGI and credentialing have been completed, the
Provider will be required to obtain CPEP Certification (approx.17
hours/depending on specialty)
- You will be given access to the Provider Liaison (PL)
department; this department assists with any issues, questions, or
needs you may have while contracted with Leidos QTC Health
